One hundred people in the room while a live album is recorded in a single night. A benefit for Isaiah 117 House.
The Night
Ocean Way Studio A is a century-old church on Music Row that has captured some of the most enduring records ever made. For one night it holds an audience.
Absolute Silence, a piano-driven rock band, takes the floor. Cameras roll. The room goes quiet and a record gets made in front of you.
Running Order
Arrival, drinks, and hors d'oeuvres.
Rooms at Ocean Way that most people never get to see.
Open through the reception and closed before the take.
At 7:00 the room comes together. Isaiah 117 House's CEO on the children this night is for, and recognition of the partners who made it possible.
Around 8:00 the room is called to quiet and Absolute Silence, with strings, horns and choir, records the album in front of you.

The evening is filmed and recorded for release. By attending you may appear in the film and on the record.
The Beneficiary
When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to wait for placement. That wait can be a few hours or several days. They often have nothing with them, and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing.
Isaiah 117 House provides a comforting home where those children can wait instead. A place that is safe, with volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets, while child welfare staff do the paperwork and find a good placement.
It began in Tennessee in 2018. It now runs 39 open homes across 13 states, with 66 more in development. The model works, and it is spreading.
Begin Again is a benefit for the Isaiah 117 House serving Nashville and Davidson County. Not the national organization: this house, and the children who walk through its door from our own city.
For children waiting for placement on the hardest day of their lives.
For the child welfare workers doing the paperwork and finding a home.
For the foster families opening their doors, often with no notice.
